Service to celebrate HM The Queen's Sapphire

On Sunday 5 February Holy Innocents' Church in Kidderminster held a service to mark HM The Queen's Sapphire jubilee.

Members of the congregation were delighted to welcome Mrs Patricia Bradbury, Deputy Lieutenant of Worcestershire, The Mayor of Kidderminster, Cllr Mary Rayner, the Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council, Cllr Rose Bishop, the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Nicky Gale, as well as members of the Royal British Legion.

The service was led by Father Tim Williams and after special prayers for Her Majesty the congregation were invited to light blue votive candles in silence. The church was decorated in blue with blue hyacinth and pansies which school children will be invited to plant in the church grounds.
