The Hon Lady Morrison
Rosalind Morrison is a well-known and very well respected member of the community. She has been a Deputy Lieutenant of Worcestershire since 2006, as well as High Sheriff in 2011, a Governor of The King’s School Worcester and Chairman of Worcester Cathedral’s Music and Light Appeal. She is currently President of Age Concern, Sight Concern and Friends of Worcester Cathedral, as well as Patron of a number of other voluntary/charitable organisations, including the Myriad Centre in Worcester, the Cube in Malvern and the Beauchamp Community at Newlands, which was originally endowed by her family.
Lady Morrison is also an active volunteer herself - with the Worcester Carers Association, and as a prison visitor at HMP Long Lartin.
Deputy Lieutenants (DLs)
The Lord-Lieutenant selects and appoints a number of Deputies to help him in his role. They tend to be individuals who have made valuable contributions to the nation, or to the local community.
The role of a Deputy is to promote and support the Lieutenancy in Worcestershire and to represent the Lord-Lieutenant in performing a range of public duties. Deputies do not receive remuneration for undertaking duties on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant and their service to the county is entirely voluntary. There are currently 12 Worcestershire Deputy Lieutenants, they are:
Major General Mark Armstrong JP DL
Mark had a very successful career in the Army which included 6 operational tours. He is the Chairman of the Great Britain Luge Association and for 21 years was a member of the National Olympic Committee. He has attended 3 Winter and one Summer Olympic Games in a variety of roles.
He is Chairman of the Country Priory Group for the Order of St John in Worcestershire and represents the West Midlands on the Priory Chapter for the Order of St John. A keen walker and amateur bee keeper he keeps his engineering skills up maintaining classic cars.
Mark is a JP on the Worcestershire Bench.
Mrs Patricia Bradbury MBE JP DL
County Lead on Inter-Faith & Honours Committee
Patricia was formerly Chair of the West Mercia Probation Trust, and a magistrate for 34 years, being Chairman of her Bench, trained to sit as a Family Lay Judge as well as formerly Chairman of the Youth Panel.
Patricia has also been the Chair of the charity, Youth Support Services and a Member, Trustee, Director and Chair of the Independent Monitoring Board for HMP Blakenhurst, Hewell.
She is currently a Trustee of the Black Country Urban Industrial Mission, Clerk to Trustees of Central England Quakers charity, Chair to Trustees of the Warwickshire & West Mercia Probation Care Trust, and works two days a week as the Quaker Chaplain in two local prisons.
Mrs Angela Brinton D.St.J DL
Queen's Award for Voluntary Service Committee
Angela supported St John Ambulance Worcestershire for many years, holding various positions including, County Commander and Chief Commissioner (Youth) and she holds the title of Dame of St John.
She has held a number of voluntary posts within the National Health Service including a Non-Executive Director of Kidderminster District Health Authority, and North Worcestershire Health Authority, Vice Chairman of Worcestershire Health Authority and Chairman of Kidderminster Health Care Trust.
Angela has carried out charitable work for many local charities including chairing the Appeal for the Worcestershire Cancer Relief Macmillan Appeal in 1994, (raised £1 million for a palliative care centre within Evesham Hospital), the NSPCC, the Alexander Rose Foundation, the Children’s Trust in Hagley and has served as Vice President of the Air Ambulance.
Mrs Georgina Britten-Long DL
Georgina has been a member of the Worcestershire CLA since the 1980s, having chaired the Worcestershire committee and sat on the London Branch, she is a member of various local organisations as Chair, and Trustee, and is a member of the board of the West Mercia Probation Care Trust, and was a founder member of the now sadly no more West Midlands Care Trust.
She has been instrumental in raising considerable funds for St Richards Hospice and various Worcestershire charities over the years, via organised events, and a biennial Clay Shoot.
Georgina was High Sheriff of Herefordshire and Worcestershire in 2003/2004.
Professor Michael Clarke CBE DL
Michael was appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Birmingham in 1998 and Deputy Vice-Chancellor 2003, retiring in 2008.
He is Chair of the Birmingham Royal Ballet and Three Choirs Festival, Worcester 2017; President of Community First and the Worcester Civic Society; a Trustee of the Barber Institute of Fine Art and Governor of The King's School. He served as a lay member of the Worcester Cathedral Chapter for 10 years and is now Canon Emeritus and Chair of the Cathedral Council.
Nationally, Michael is a member of the Church of England General Synod and chairs the (statutory) Diocese Commission.
The Viscount Cobham DL
Christopher Lyttelton succeeded his brother as 12th Viscount Cobham in 2006 and now lives at the family home, Hagley Hall, in the north of the county.
He emigrated to Canada when he was 19 and spent 6 years there before returning to the UK to marry his wife, Tessa. He lived in London until 2007 working in the City and now lives full time at Hagley.
He is involved with several Charities including Trinity House, The Royal Alfred Seafarers Society and the Shuttleworth Trust as well as a number of local Worcestershire organisations.
Mr Andrew Duncan DL
Andrew is a partner at the law firm Whatley Weston & Fox.
He is Under Sheriff for the County of Worcestershire, a position he has held since 1981. He is also Clerk to the Six Masters Charity, Thomas Corbett Charity and the Mary Hill Trust.
Andrew has been a Governor and Chair of Governors at Malvern St James, a Governor of The Elms School, Worcester University and remains a Governor of Abberley Hall School.
He is a High Court Enforcement Officer, has had long professional involvement with Morgan Motor Company and is a Trustee of the Peter Morgan Family Settlement, a Director of Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb Plc and of The Charles Hastings Education Centre.
Mr Andrew Grant DL
Queen's Award for Enterprise
Andrew Grant is the founder of Andrew Grant Estate Agents employing 130 people.
Andrew was High Sheriff of Herefordshire & Worcestershire in 2005 to 2006.
He supports many local organisations and charities including: Hon Vice-Pres Worcester Branch British Red Cross; Trustee, Elizabeth Fitzroy Support, and now Patron; Governor, St Richard’s Hospice, and now Patron; Chairman, St Mary’s Convent School, President, Worcester Conservative Association, Trustee Worcester Community Foundation; Trustee of Worcester and Dudley Historic Churches Trust.
Lady Sue Hughes B.Sc. Ph.D. DL
Sue is a retired biochemist, married with two children and four grandchildren.
She has been on the governing body of many schools and was a vice chair of the governors who oversaw the granting of University status to the University of Worcester. She is now a Fellow.
A lot of her time is spent with a Riding for the Disabled group 'The High Riders' and she is their secretary and trustee.
Having lived in the same village in Worcestershire for over 40 years she is President of, or involved in, many village activities.
Mrs Penelope Lewis DL
Penelope recently retired as Financial Administrator of the de Montfort Veterinary Hospital and is married with three daughters and six grandchildren.
She has been involved in a number of charities, including being a member of the fundraising committees for St Richards Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Penelope is a Trustee of the Warwickshire and West Mercia Probation Care Trust.
She was High Sheriff of Worcestershire in 2012-13.

Dr Umesh Udeshi DL
Umesh is a Consultant Radiologist at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust since 1988. He has held the positions of Clinical Director of Radiology and Medical Director in the Trust. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and a Specialist Lecturer at the Birmingham City University. He is a Consulting Radiologist at Spire South Bank Hospital, BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital, Worcestershire Imaging Centre and Cobalt Imaging Centre, Cheltenham.
In 1994/5 he was clinical lead for the CT Scanner Appeal of the Kidderminster Health Care NHS Trust.
